The walkers had a extremely hectic thanksgiving this year. Nora walker, the mother, had planned for a huge thanksgiving like always, but everyone else had other plans. Tommy and his wife had plans to go to his wifes parents with their daughter, and everyone else was going to their spouses families, but of course no one had the nerve to tell nora. Eventually she found out, but at that point nothing mattered. Elizabeth, tommys daughter became very sick, and it turned out to be that she had kidney failure and needed a trasnplant. The problem? well tommy was never elizabeths biological father, after finding out he was infertile they used kevin as a doner, and justin as a doner(both the brothers) but they never knew untill today who the father actually ended up being. unfinished buisness
•December 7, 2008 • Leave a CommentFinally this week good news, Kitty walker (mentioned last week) got a promising phonecall from trish, the mother of the baby that kitty was supposed to adopt. Trish called kitty and asked to meet with her, shockingly trish decided she really did need to think about whether she was ready for adoption. She told kitty that after weeks of sleepless nights she realized she was ready for adoption, and she would more than happily give her baby to them. Kitty and her husband robert discussed this decision, robert of course at first was undecided, but later they decided to go for it. Meanwhile, Nora walker, the mother of all these children bought a old worn down house and decided she had to turn into a charity center. She decided on her own that it would be a “family project” haha sounded a lot like something my own mother would do. It didnt end up as well as she thought and the house turned out to be quite unfixable…next week is supposed to be about the family thanksgiving, which is a bit past our thanksgiving outside of tv life, but im really excited to see if its as crazy as my thanksgivings are haha.
kittys dream
•November 25, 2008 • Leave a CommentIn the show brothers and sisters, theirs always a character thats the main focus, expecially when going through something tough. Last season kitty, the middle child, found out that she wasnt able to have her own children, and after a miscarriage she was afraid she would never be able to face the chances of loosing another child. whether it be through adoption or surrogacy, or any kind. After getting approved as parents by their adoption agency, Robert (the senator and husband or kitty), and kitty had to wait to be chosen by an expectant mother. Not soon after they got a phonecall from the agency and were shocked to hear they had been chosen. They met the mother at her job, a surgeon in a hospital. Even though everything seemed to work out fine, kitty felt like the mother seemed to have no remorse about giving up the baby, she went to talk to her in private becuase of kittys fear of loosing another child. Her talk with the mother ended up the mother changing her mind and saying that she didnt want to give her child to someone that didnt trust her. Once again kitty was left without a child…but in the upcoming episodes their may be a change.
Brothers and Sisters
•November 16, 2008 • Leave a CommentDuring most family functions theres akwardness, craziness, and fun. Brothers and sisters shows all of that in one. The best part is that my family acts quite similar to the characters in brothers and sisters. Theres nora, the loving mom, she lost her husband the father of her 5 children, and after his death found out about his affair during years of their marriage. The five kids are Kitty walker, recently married to robert mccalister, shes the organized and eccentric daughter, then their sarah walker who has 2 kids and is now divorced, shes much like her mother nora in many ways. Now to the boys- justin walker is the youngest, hes a recovered addict and is now in a serious realtionship with rebacca harper she is the daughter of justins fathers mistress, who suprisingly enough after much investagation, is not related to the walkers. Tommy walker is the spitting image of his father, hes very coporate and has taken over the family buisness very well, hes also married with a little girl. Last but not least, theres kevin walker, who is openly homosexual and has a civil union with scotty. Now after finally being done with the introductions of the long list of characters…This show reminds me of my sunday night dinners, it all comes down to that no families perfect, theres always akwardness, and hilarity, but its always fun.

We all have a favorite TV show, whether it’s because you relate it to your real life, or if it is how you would like your life to be. TV shows either reflects reality to people or they change reality and show you what you want to see. Brothers and sisters is one of those TV shows that reflect reality to a large family lifestyle. If you have a small family it may change reality for you, and show you something you would either like or hate to have, but if you have a large family like I do, this show would be like watching an episode of your everyday life. This blog is going to relate what happens in the show every Sunday, to my family’s hectic Sunday dinners.
In this blog I will go over 3 different categories, I will occasionally review what happens in the show and relate the topic and drama to my family and what has/is happening with them. I will also go over the plot of the show sometimes, and just discuss what happened in the show that night, and last I will discuss the characters different roles and who relates to which of my family members.
